Tobias, a black with white markings Great Dane, born on July 20, 2003 to Titus and Lavender in Madison, Virginia. I picked him up on August 25th. He had his first vet visit on August 30th and weighed a whopping 13 pounds. Currently we are chewing madly and working real hard on controlling appendages and getting them to go in the direction he wants them to. We start dog obedience on Sept. 11, so we can become well-developed dog and owner. Enjoy the pictures and i will try and keep them updated as he quickly grows.
10 May 2004 - Tobias and i stopped by the vet clinic this afternoon to get flea and tick control and he weighed a whopping 110 pounds. He currently goes to daycare 2x a week, loves chasing bugs and bunnies - neither of which he catches, playing with his buddy Amos, eating and sleeping.
23 Dec 2004 - Tobias went to the vet yesterday to get his shots and weighed in at 125.
23 May 2006 - Earlier this year after physical evaluation and an MRI, Tobias was diagnosed with Wobbler Syndrome. Today he is being operated on by Dr. Trevor at VRCC to relieve the compression on his spinal cord in his neck. He weighed 146 pounds and his current movement is clumsy in his hind legs and it hinders his running.
31 May 06 - It has been one week since Tobias' surgery and he is doing great. He amazed everyone at the vet clinic with his quick recovery and was able to come home after 3 days. Currently he is resting and enduring all his medications. His post-surgery photo is below.
18 Sept 2006 - Tobias has surgery on his left knee to correct a torn ACL. Following he has to wear a soft cast.
